Whilst paddocks resemble rice fields my poor nags are having to stay in which means I am having to ride out everyday in this dreadful torrential weather. My poor saddle is again drenched.

Can anyone recommend a good waterproof exercise sheet that covers the saddle aswell. There is one in Robinsons but it doesn't look like there is anything to stop it blowing up at the corners which would just let the saddle get wet anyway.

Or how do you cope in this weather?

I use a waterproof saddle cover from Robinsons and then strap a seat saver over the top. Thse days I am a bit geriatric and my seat isn't whatit should be. My big mare, Yorkshire Lass gets a bit enthusiastic if stabled!

Or ride in a coat that covers your saddle?

Well I do have a full length coat but it doesn't cover the knee rolls and the bit that goes over the back of the saddle always ends up under my bum!!

We use the ride on saddle covers, they are great. Plus long riding coats and Equafleece exercise sheets. We all stay lovely and dry and warm that way!

Ride on saddle cover is the way forward then! - Will pop into overpriced tack shop this afternoon when picking kids up from school. Not that my saddle will have dried out by tomorrow.
