Dress circle sherpa - are they warm enough as stable rugs?

Was thinking of getting a snuggy hood rug, but one of the girls on my yard has one and they look really thin. Are the dress circle thicker? anyone know please, also can the dress circle double up as wickers?

I have a sherpa but wouldn't use it as stable rug would soak up wee and poo. I use mines for after bathing etc x
