I have shown with some success in hunter youngstock and Irish draught classes but this year I hope to take my 2 yr old 3/4 TB 1/4 ID to some sports horse classes under the SHB banner.

Do I dress in whites, as we did for the futurity (where she got 8.86 as a foal) or will in hand hunter style dress suffice?

Although she was born in June, and will be smaller than most 'professionally' produced youngsters, I would at least like to go in with the correct attire :D

Any advice greatfully received.

Well you know me and showing so no advice :D Do let me know where you are going to be showing though as would love to see her!
From memory I don't think whites but sure others will offer better advice!!

The dress is the same as for Hunter Breeding classes - tweed, beagler, shirt, tie, cream trouser (generally, if showing a coloured with white legs, then you often see brown or black trousers being worn), paddock boots, natural coloured gloves and a cane. You can also add a bit of bling for Sportshorse....

Thank you, thats fortunate as I have plenty of hunter dress.

She is very dark bay, possibly even black with a little bit of white and one white sock. The one in the pic to the left.

What sort of bling can I add??? That sounds like it could be fun :D

DHB - you'll be eventing somewhere no doubt but hoping to start with the North Yorkshire on 19th June where she can also do ID sports class! Lovely horsey show that I like to support when I can. Then I might do the odd local one like Skelton, Keswick, Dumfries.

As I am not riding this year, it is something I can do to be hands on and it will give her a bit of 'external' experience also.

How did you get on this year ?? - I am hoping to do the same classes next year and would love some tips

My ID/sports horse is IDx TB/Connemara
