Can anyone recommend me a dressage legal bit for a strong Dales pony please, I am going to attempt a prelim dressage test on her soon :)

She seems to go better in a french link in the school.
When she gets strong she usually leans on the bit.
Im not very good with whats dressage legal and whats not, iv only done 2 dressage test and thats with my boy who just goes in a snaffle.

if she leans I would go with either a french link or a lozenge with a loose ring.

I use a loose ring single joint on my boy and he is much softer in it than his hanging cheek which we jump in (I like less brakes for jumping )

In that case I'd go for a full cheek (Fulmer) french link snaffle like this one as you've said that she leans - make sure you buy fulmer loops to put the full cheek pieces in the correct position in her mouth if you choose this though: http://www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/P/...le_full_cheek_french_mouth_snaffle-(436).aspx

If leaning is real issue however, try a loose ring snaffle with a french link mouth piece like this on: http://www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/P/Loose_Ring_French_link_snaffle_french_link_snaffle-(430).aspx
