Tempted to have a go but don't know of anyone who has personally done it. Particularly interested in the ex-racehorse classes.

Opinions and reviews welcomed!

Im registered for my first test this month. I work every weekend so its very difficult to get out to competitions so we are doing it this way. Perfect!

Tonitot-its online dressage competitions from intro to gp. BD and fei tests. Think its a great idea.

Sounds a good idea and I'm tempted to try it.
But what makes it difficult is you have to get someone to film you, zooming in etc, you can't just set your camera up on the fence.
Plus you can't.upload files from mobile devices.

So I will have to dig the camera.out and bribe the oh to film me!

Yep have done it and you get very good feedback from List judges. We had a List 1 judge do one of the ex racehorse classes we did. Highly recommend.

It's a brilliant idea especially if you have no transport or a horse that doesn't play away. Judges comment very fair with constructive advise . Once the broken one is better will be planning to do a few.

I've been toying with the idea for a while. I'm lucky that I have 2 (reasonably) behaved mounts but it's more the lack of transport - have to hire at the moment and it's expensive. Managed to locate the camera so it's charging ready :)

Bringing this old thread back to life.
I'm planning to ride one before the end of January. I'm hoping now you're able to upload from a mobile but haven't checked.
Anyone compete this way?

Sorry Ester,

I understand if you feel it is pure advertising, it is not meant to be. I feel strongly about wanting to compete in some way but not having the transport, experience, etc., I was one of these clueless rider with ambitions.
It's a shame that it is me hosting it, and that it comes across like advertising. If it is too offensive I will certainly take it down, sorry! Let me know, guys!

It's a rule in the t&cs doesn't matter if you are trying to be helpful or not I'm afraid. Users have been boiled over less ;) among the artists and stallion owners etc on this site.

You can advertise somethings on here now. You can put ads on the regional boards for tack and kit up to £500.
But Ester is right that your post is probably not within the forum rules.

Thanks for the advice, I really didn't think much of it. I will look at these regional boards. I suppose that's why you leave the advertising to professionals

Yup maybe I should have been more specific I couldn't be bothered with a lengthier explanation of the t&cs on phone ;) trawling up a 2014 thread is always going to make me wonder why :p
You still won't be able to put something like this on the regional boards they are for items only.
