I'm thinking of taking my mare up to the Swarland for their unaffiliated dressage on 24th February. I just wondered if anyone here has been along and if so, what is it like as a venue - quality of facilities, organisation, friendliness etc?

I have asked about it on another forum and they said that the outdoor long dressage arena is fab with a really good surface. Indoor is ok.
There is plenty of hard standing for parking and everythings always seems well organised.

ann-jen, I'm sure all opinions are useful.

Last time I judged there the working in was outside and the tests were inside. Both surfaces seemed to ride well. One side of the indoor can be a little spooky as there are jumps stored behind the wall. Loos and catering are both ok. Everyone is very friendly and they seem to get the scores up quickly. Take plenty of warm clothes as some days it can be very cold! Good luck if you decide to go.
