Hello!
I am looking for some advice as my head is going around in circles!!
I have a lovely dressage cob who comes into a nice shape (for intro / starting prelim) but he pokes his nose out at any opportunity!!
I used to ride him in a NS Tranzangle bit but he wanted me to ride him very short and brute force him into a shape which was far too heavy for me (he has a HUGE head).
I have since ridden him in :
3 ring gag (which is obviously fab but no use really!), a thin loose ring bradoon snaffle (which is what the picture above was), a hanging cheek nutcracker which wasnt good, a hanging cheek french link which was alot better but it feels a bit "dead". Ive also ridden in a Bomber Buster roller which i quite liked, and a NS Verbindend which i liked the feel of, but watching the video of me riding back, looks just as bad if not worse as before!
After trying so many bits, my head is in a muddle and i really dont know what to do. He is very good at evading my hands at any opportunity, as i havent been riding long since a long break and i am not as strong as i should be.
Any ideas??
