Dressage breeches that don't pull down on hips?!

I'm a size 10, and have always preferred Pikeur Breeches for their high quality.

I need a new everyday pair, but have realised my current Lugana's seem to really strain my back/hips as they tend to slip downwards?!! (They are definitely the right size!)

I may be the only one with this problem... and I probably need to get a belt anyway, but thought I'd ask you guys just in case, as maybe I need to try a better brand/style?

Can anyone recommend their favourite brand/style of dressage breeches, preferably with great pockets?!

My budget is about £130 (i'd rather have one pair of amazing breeches than 3 pairs of crap ones!)

Thanks guys

I absolutely love Cavallo Chagall breeches and hate riding in anything else. They'd be at the top of your budget (I get them from Calevo - they are cheaper in Euros than £) but they do come up on ebay occasionally. The microfibre fabric is similar to the pikeur stuff.

Pikeur luganas are hopeless on me, they gape at the waist. I didn't get on with the high waisted pikeurs.

me too!!! a friend gave me a pair as she had put on weight and i was hooked from then on... i have bought mine brand new from e bay from a lady in spain and even with the postage they have been less than £100.. her shop is called dressage with style and she is really helpful, there are none on there at the moment but it may be worth e mailing her to see if she can help..

Another vote for Cavallo Chagall breeches. I have been wearing them for years and years and they are definitely worth the money.

I do use the Pikeur Lugana softshell for every day riding in winter and love them. I think the thicker material keeps them snug.

La Valencio Expression or Everdale Breeches (google them for the only UK supplier) are THE most comfortable breeches ive ever worn. My eurostar ones always used to give me hip ache but these are fab, i forget i'm wearing them even standing teaching for hours :)
