Dressage Bridles for chunky heads!

Seeing as Christmas is coming, and I may have the chance to "obtain" a new dressage bridle I thought some expert info could be useful

I ride in a Albion SLK and so my matching neurosis has been drawing me to the KB flash bridle. They do a good roomy extra full so I'm told.

I've also had people rave about the elevator though, so just wondered what you all thought.

This is George's head btw and the bridle he's in there is a Sabre Exta Full.

id definately get a comfort bridle - not much different to the 'elevator' but cheaper! elevators are lovely, but im very happy with my comfort bridles that both my neddies have.
 
I actually sell the Rhinegold and Heritage comfort bridles and I have them for schooling and your right I do love them.

I want a nice one to keep for competition though, and also, the RG and H nosebands are just a tad short across his nose if you know what I mean? Basically the side pieces on the noseband need moving back to take them more inline with the cheekpieces.
 
I love the Elevator- its much softer and I think the headpiece is actually a better fit than the Albion but I do think the Albion is a lovely bridle. The elevator noseband would really suit your boys head.
 
I do not like the quality of the leather on the Elevator bridle - for the price it seems pretty poor leather IMO
 
I just broke a Kieffer Ulla bridle, am also on the look out for a dressage/event bridle with flash/crank nose for a chunky money head.
 
Sabre, Jeffries and Kieffer all do an elevator style bridle up to extra big head sizes!

I noticed a big difference when I swapped my big lump of an ISH horse into a comfort bridle - much lighter in the hand!
 
i have the expensive kate negus :P and couldnt reccommend it enough. the people are lovely as well, and will make it up to the perfect size
