Has anyone got this to work?
I couldn't install it on my own PC. I gave it to a friend to try but it made her whole system crash and she's had to call a service engineer out to fix it!

Are we just unlucky or have other people had problems with Dressage Divas CDs?

I have it on mine and use it but is does have limitations.

The first version had some sort of fault which meant that you couldnt save the music outside of the programme which is pretty useless if you cant make a CD to take to a competition.

As soon as I queried it with the helpline they replaced my CD with an updated version.

The CD is great to use as a guide but no good as a complete plan. I find that music imported into the 8 track editing part moves when you save so where a specific bit of music was lined up for your medium trot isnt aligned when you open it at a later date.

The quality of the extracted music is pretty poor because it only saves in MP3 format which give a grainey, fuzzy quality to the final CD.

To be honest I do still use mine but tend to use a different music editing package and import the finished product into dressage divas to roughly plan my routine. I make the CD for competition straight from my other music editing package to keep the quality. Nothing worse than an awful grainey bit of music turned up loud in an arena.

The helpdesk is really useful and they go out of their way to help sort out your problems so it is definately worth giving them a ring if your computer keeps crashing. I may not be high enough spec to take the package but they will advise you of that.

Thanks for your very helpful comments; I'll use pukka music editing software. Actually, I have since realised that all my music downloads are in wma format and because of copyright protection I can't convert them into mp3 files to use in Divas anyway!

Incidentally, I think they may have discontinued the helpdesk, since both times I rang I was told to email, not telephone, and when I did email the responses were slow and unhelpful in the extreme.

Looking forward to the day when I can try prancing round to music for real!

I too have had problems with this. It let me load a floorplan and all the BD tests so's I could learn them but the music just disappeared God knows where!

I will ring the help desk and won't take no for an answer, watch this space I'm not spending 23 quid for foo all!

You can import wma files into dressage diva's so that should not be a problem. When you click on the chanel button and the import box appears - click in the top left box and remove the mp3 bit and replace with wma and all files in wma format will appear.

Worrying about the helpdesk....the package is a bit unstable so isnt really good enough and I suspect they are having a lot of problems. Ok for basic planning but other than that not much use. It wasnt expensive and I must admit I would be pretty annoyed if it had been.

I can't make my Divas CD work at all. Thought that maybe there was something wrong with my PC, but having read your posts - maybe not.

Have given it to a friend whose husband is a wiz on the computer to see if he can make head or tail of it.

Didn't fancy calling the helpline as I know nothing about downloading music, mp3's and the like and thought even if they tried every which way of explaining it, I still wouldn't understand!!!

Let's hope Julie's hubby can come up trumps and explain in plain English!!

Yeah I know what you mean some help desks can be really intimidating because they use jargon and make you feel even more foolish.

The DD helpdesk is pretty non-technical so not too scarey.

The idea is brilliant and if it worked properly we would all be doing Freestyle - it just doesnt quite work as well as it should. I suspect the company will pull, re-work and re-launch a better product or will fold.
