Once again I'm looking for clever ideas to raise money - this time it's for our Riding Club - both our Dressage and Jumping teams have qualified for the Nationals in Lincoln. However, we're a looonnggg way from Lincolnshire so are going to do some fun fundraisers to raise cash for travel expenses.
One idea that just popped in to my head was do Dressage for Dogs (or even combined training). Would probably have some novelty classes as well to appeal to a broader audience. Would you as a dog owner be inclined to see how your pooch performed (for fun) doing a WT test on a smaller scale?
I'm picturing my two dogs that are fit enough to do it having a ball. The poodle would get marks for his paces, but probably not do well for rhythym....the BT is like a hairy cob and would probably get good marks for his submission and regularity of paces, though his willingness to go forward might be suspect. LOL
How would YOUR dog do in a dressage test?
