We currently have a fairly cheap and nasty Genesis girth on the mare, she is currently wearing the dressage saddle all the time as K is back on board after her accident at Milton Keynes but can't get her stirrups short yet so is hacking daily in the dressage saddle.

Based on a budget of £70 max can anyone recommend a dressage girth for a sensitive mare, not sheepskin lined as it will get filthy hacking out, leather or synthetic, either will be fine.

There are so many to chose form but as I will likely have to order online I would prefer to order something recommended.

I bought a beautiful Passier dressage girth on eBay a little while ago. There is another on there now, but if you search for leather dressage girths on there, you might find what you are looking for.

Search on British dressage classified - as a lot of ppl buying the new fairfax girth a lot of other girths for sale!!!

I've got a 28" Passier anatomically shaped girth if you're interested?! Too big for my chaps new saddle :(! PM me if you are!

I always use Wintec or thorowgood girths. I spent £60 / £70 on a leather girth for my girl, thinking that would be super lovely of me, and it rubbed her raw straight away.

So went back to Wintec style and will stick to them. Out of preference my mare prefers the thorowgood over the Wintec, but the Wintec, although slightly elasticated has less give in it
