New saddle is brown, girth is black = excuse to go shopping.

I currently have a 28" Flexi-Girth from http://www.flexiworksequine.co.uk/ which he seems happy enough in but I figure there's always room for improvement.

He has a forward girth groove (doesn't present an issue with the current arrangement) and although I girth the front and back straps to the same holes, really the back strap could stay one lower if that makes sense.

Any recommendations? If I were looking at an expensive girth (e.g. Fairfax or Stubben) would you trial first?

From all the reviews I have seen I would go for the Stubben first - I'm in a similar boat, looking at either the Fairfax or the Stubben, and from what I've read the Stubben seems to come out on top. Its cheaper than the Fairfax too!

I follow a few people on Facebook who have tried both girths, both preferring the Stubben - have a look at Diamonds in the Rough dressage, and Darling Dressage (their review was on 18 April).

If you do try it, let me know how you get on!
