Hi, I've just moved from the South to North East Lincolshire. I'm in the Market Rasen area in Lincolnshire. I'm looking for an instructor that specialises in dressage and has experience with youngsters. I have a large 5y/o warmblood that I need some expert help with. Must be willing to ride and travel to me as I have no transprt.

Any suggestions gratefully received - thank you.

Might be worth having a look on the Enlightened Equitation website. I'm fairly sure there is an EE instructor based in Lincs who teaches in your area.

See if you can find Anne Chafer. She trained me for BHSAI many moons ago but believe she is still in the area. She is great!

Hi,

Have a look on Sykehouse Arenas website, they have instructors that do clinics but also give private lessons and will travel to you.
I go to clinics with Steph Cooper she is brilliant but I travel to her so I'm not sure if she would travel, but worth a look anyway. :)

There is also Sasha Smith in the Louth area, sorry no contact details but she is very good or Lara Dennis may also be an option. You could try and google them. Alternatively ring the local pony club and ask them to give you contact details.

Hi i live in Market Rasen and also have own yard A few miles away. Competing at Advanced level and winning and also competed for GB paras. Welcome to google my name and contact me for any further details or questions.

There is Lara Dennis and also Jenny Burgess in our area (i`m only a few miles noth of you) .... Both are very good :)

right, i might be imagining things, or just completely dull... but, i think there is a member on here who is called something like princess sparkle, who i think is a dressage instructor in lincs who people rate highly... however, all of the above information might be wrong... :o

I personally think you need to considered many factors when choosing a trainer. Does that trainer compete regularly and achieve good marks and comments and at national level not just locally. Does your trainer received top level regular training themselves. What is there experience and do they have a competition record. Do they judge maybe. What suits one persons doesn't suit another.
I feel with my positive riding clinics that Im out to achievement confidence and overcome physical and sometimes mental issues and that a trainer needs to understand the rider not just the horse. On the other hand I also train top level eventors and happy hackers. Also a trainer should also be there at the end of the phone I believe. Good luck in your search for a trainer find one that suits you not follow the crowd and check them out fully.
