I'm struggling to find a dressage legal bit for my horse. He's ridden in a loose ring cherry roller snaffle and goes brilliantly in it for everything. Unfortunately he can't wear it for BD and my flat instructor is going to be taking him out. He doesn't like a french link (head goes up and he tanks off) won't tolerate any poll pressure, doesn't like egg butt snaffles and doesn't seem to like a jointed loose ring snaffle. He seems most comfortable in a thick bit with a nut cracker action, so I'm at a loss!

I've just started using a neue schule veribend loose ring snaffle and my horse seems to love it. He went well in a loose ring lozenge before but has been even better in this one. Hope that helps ☺

Not all Myler bits are BD legal - the bit bank will know which ones are and are not. We have an ISH who events. He goes in a waterford for XC and SJ but gets on really well with the NS baucher for dressage. I'm a big fan of NS bits - see what the bit bank can lend you.
