Dressage legal bits

Soph is going to her first dressage show next saturday and i need to find a bit.She is currently ridden in a Myler comfort snaffle but since she has had her teeth done ( long story ) and isnt in pain any more she just leans and leans on the bit. Any ideas of bits i can try on her?

The best thing to do is to check the BD website,
but as far as i know most types of snaffle are fine including a hanging cheek.
and you can use mixed metals providing the mouthpiece is only made up of one type.
no gags allowed.

hanging cheek snaffle should help with the leaning, and is dressage legal!

So long as it is a simple snaffle type (inc the hanging mentioned above) and all one metal, it will be fine. Perhaps start off in a peanut bit or a french link, something with 2 joints?

you could even give a waterford snaffle a go to help with leaning.

Sorry, i didnt make that clear- i mean the waterford in terms of helping prevent the horse leaning, not for the test!

I agree - Waterford for schooling and then use a dressage legal snaffle for the test
