Finally found a bit that my cob likes, but am concerned it may not be dressage legal?! bit confused do googled it and said that mylers where not legal due to the metals in them

This is the bit....myler hanging cheek

http://www.horsebitbank.com/hanging-cheek-comfort-snaffle-wide-256.phtml

Also a quick question........i know ports are illigal but how do they know if someone has one in their horses mouth without checking? therefore giving them an unfair advantage??

Some myler bits are dressage legal the ones which are: MB02,MB03,MB04. You'll be allowed to have a hanging cheek, loose ring, eggbut. Any of the others aren't allowed.
Hope that helps.

That bit is dressage legal :)

Some get checked..some don't. So yes, technically you could have whatever you wanted going on in your horses mouth but you'd get disqualified if it was checked and I've seen it happen lots. The checks are pretty strict and everyone does get checked once you get into a higher level of dressage :)

Ah right :) thats okay then :P
Only ever done prelim dressage and never seen any checks being done. I suppose those who do have illigel stuff going on are only cheating themselves :)

I thought the MB04 was illigal due to the port?
