I don't think its overpriced! Not that I'd ever spend that on a horse, mainly because I don't have 85k to spend on a horse, but if I did I still wouldn't.

Wow, I think he looks and sounds amazing. He doesnt sound expensive either - a horse that had jumped at 3 European Championships would be 2 or 3 times that amount.
(not that I could afford him!)

Seems quite cheap to me.
Remember someone importing a medium horse for half a million! Think people pay from abroad but are shocked if it is asked for a British owned horse!
I also think you only really learn to ride dressage by gaining experience on experienced horses. I really struggled with dressage until I got a horse working adv-med.

Yes but you can win money too! Seriously tho, I didnt realise a U21 Euro horse would be that much!

I am not at all surprised at the price although I'm not knowledgable about dressage horses. Its not all about the prize money but competing at that level I would think.

Good question! Anything from £60K - £250K I would say. The thing with YRs is that the clock is ticking and there isnt much time to produce one.. although it has been done!

Chriiiiiiiiiiiiist! So get them onto horses ASAP, buy a 4 year old when they are 14 and hope they are good at producing then!!!

12 is no age for a dressage horse of his calibre.
TBH I am surprised he is not more, horses at his level can cost three figure sums. He is not for the run of the mill BD rider, like you or me PG, he is for the professional/young riders who WOULD want something competing at that level

Yeah... thats one way of doing it! The problem with buying a 4 yr old is that its difficult to know if they are going to be good enough at that age! Its hard work for us mere mortals.

doesnt seem abnormal to me, esp given his age as well. if he was a mare he would be alot more though!
