As title really.

I'm currently using sure grip continental reins but the stops are not quite in the right place for me to get the rein length I need. I also think the leather has stretched a bit on one side meaning they're not equal. tried using rubber bands as extra stops but no success.
Was wondering what types of reins anyone else uses and looking for suggestions/ recommendations really as fed up with my reins always ending up slightly too long

i had a pair of continental web reins made specially for me by Stroud Saddlery, with extra stoppers (one every 3") and they are perfect, well worth the £ actually.
i much prefer continental to anything else for dr.

Mysterygirl I have exactly the same problem- the sides of my third fingers are raw on both hands at the moment from blisters

I always found rubber reins are too thick; I've always used the so-called dressage reins (half rubber; rubber on the inside but leather on the outside). The grip is the same as with normal rubber reins but they are much thinner and look gorgeous (all you can see from the outside is plain leather).
I hate continental reins! Really cannot ride with them at all!

Has any one tried the bio grip reins? I'm intrigued by how they feel to hold but not sure what they'd be like to ride with with respect to contact

I have the half rubber half leather!
I like continental reins, but I dont think they look as nice for dressage, used them on bridles for very strong horses!!

I have some biogrips and I really like them - but I keep them on my jumping bridle as I need them for xc. I use laced reins for dressage.

I love my sure grip reins for rdessage but without the continental stops which just look ugly and get in the way. Cottage craft are the only poeple I have found who still do them without the stops on.

I like continentals - makes me consious of uneven reins! I've ridden in the biogrip reins on my trainers horse - they were nice but not hugely different to the flat type rubber grip reins. (not pimply ones)

another vote for 1/2 rubber dressage reins!! each to their own but i cant stand continental reins for any discipline altho my friend swears by them!!
