Its been a few years now, 2007 since I last evented due to Snoopy breaking (deep seated muscle damage to his back/neck/quarters).
He had Aug 08-Aug09 off although I was able to ride him from April 09 but he continued to need treatment so it was very hit and miss.

So Since Aug09 he has been in full work, we had one last treatment at Avon Vale in September but since then *touches wood* his back has strengthend and he is the horse I bought back in the Autumn of 06.

We started to compete again at Novice level BD in Nov/Dec also getting mentioned in H&H for winning a Novice at 69% :D
I also took him on a fun ride and did a couple of SJing competitions but only at 85cm max as quite honestly I dont have huge love for the coloured stuff.

We've contested a couple more dressage competitions this year and just started dressage lessons after over a year which are really helping, and we've had one xc schooling session.

I still wanted to jump Snoopy and try and get my eye back in as once I use to event *shock horror*

So Baydale stepped up to a plate to help and we've now had two sessions in two weeks.

I am so grateful to her for coming such a long way for an hour of baby show jumping but its really helping.

The first session was to calm Snoopy down as he had become very forward and flat to his fences making it impossible to slow up and turn for the next fence.

So we had 4 huge x poles on the circle. I had to come in walk (I thought BD was nuts) but it was hugely beneficial.

Last night... well you can watch a mamouth video...

Im now entered for two ODE's :D.... (unaffiliated at BE is just too expensive)

So thats us really :) comments welcome. No laughing at Baydales moves ;) very ammusing with the sound down :D

Thanks hon. Are you still going to Withington?

I also think its BD's mission to get me to ditch the bling and get some mud on my clothes again.

He will still contest at BD tho, and we'll go Elem next as he's really come on in our dressage sessions.

Its nice to be leaving the floor and some of those jumps last night felt like he could actually jump the moon... *snort* i know they were only max 1mtre lol but he is so pingy lol

He's very pingy :)

Well a bit of BD is fine isn't it- just call it practice ;)

Well (see end of my bobbie love post) but lorry is playing up... However desperate for the run as it's his last before tatts so we're going to have to manage it somehow! Come and find us?

YAY I was just going to say when are we going to see some pics/vids of Snoopals! He looks great and very happy to be jumping again :)

Soooo pleased you have entered some ODE's best of luck for them im sure Snoops will do you proud. And as ever am very jealous you can have regular lessons with BD :( i think im even to far to intice her even with all the Jaffa cakes in the world hehe!!

Yay brilliant!
Busy office today, so can't watch the vid, but will over the weekend.

Don't want BD to get a big head (it will only unbalance her and she'll fall on it ;)) but she is really good and has helped me no end over the last couple of years.

Enjoy your return to eventing :D

If I go, I shall come find you :) the weather looks glorious! but ground feels awful. We're about 30 mins from Withington and our ground is horrendously hard :(

Fingers x the lorry gets better x

I am very lucky to have her :) I might have to start thinking of other items of food to keep her coming tho as now Snoopy loves Jaffas and is insisting on sharing ;)

Thanks hon.

You coming to GT this year? im stewarding.

Looks like he is really enjoying himself (& you do as well) I bet he is going to give you a lovely ride when you go XC.

Good luck at your ODE's :D

Thank you :)
I actually think I enjoyed it too :D yes I think I did lol I didnt think I would ever say I enjoyed show jumping.
Baydale does have a way of making you feel more confident jumping. I love xc but those coloured poles just worry me.

I cant wait till 16th now :D

The unaffiliated at the end of may? Havent decided whether I am going or not yet... depends how much XC prep I can get in before then. What else have you entered :) :D

Yes the end of May one.
I have entered a mini ODE at a local livery yard on 16th. 2'9 class.

That will be enough for May ;) now busy finding stuff for June although i have a two day dressage clinic and possibly Hartpury.
