Its been a few years now, 2007 since I last evented due to Snoopy breaking (deep seated muscle damage to his back/neck/quarters).
He had Aug 08-Aug09 off although I was able to ride him from April 09 but he continued to need treatment so it was very hit and miss.
So Since Aug09 he has been in full work, we had one last treatment at Avon Vale in September but since then *touches wood* his back has strengthend and he is the horse I bought back in the Autumn of 06.
We started to compete again at Novice level BD in Nov/Dec also getting mentioned in H&H for winning a Novice at 69%
I also took him on a fun ride and did a couple of SJing competitions but only at 85cm max as quite honestly I dont have huge love for the coloured stuff.
We've contested a couple more dressage competitions this year and just started dressage lessons after over a year which are really helping, and we've had one xc schooling session.
I still wanted to jump Snoopy and try and get my eye back in as once I use to event *shock horror*
So Baydale stepped up to a plate to help and we've now had two sessions in two weeks.
I am so grateful to her for coming such a long way for an hour of baby show jumping but its really helping.
The first session was to calm Snoopy down as he had become very forward and flat to his fences making it impossible to slow up and turn for the next fence.
So we had 4 huge x poles on the circle. I had to come in walk (I thought BD was nuts) but it was hugely beneficial.
Last night... well you can watch a mamouth video...
Im now entered for two ODE's
.... (unaffiliated at BE is just too expensive)
So thats us really
comments welcome. No laughing at Baydales moves
very ammusing with the sound down
