Does anyone have any ideas for a stallion to put my 14hh westphalian pony too. I would like the foal to be bred for dressage she is very uphill and compact.
I have used him on a few different pony mares & have been delighted with the resulting youngsters. One of these being Delaroche Breve: highest marked Sports Pony yearling BEF Futurity 2008.
He is quite nice, but not a pony, if I remember rightly, he is over 14.2. There are some stunning dressage ponies in Germany if you are wanting to look further afield.
He's 15hh from memory I think he's produced some great ponies but that's just the marketing I've heard and no personal experience. I was thinking of putting him to my 16hh Oldenburg at one point to breed something a little smaller for myself to compete so if anyone does know more about him I wouldn't mind hearing it.
I also have 2 lovely youngsters by Bernwode Brokat - only one is backed so far but he is very trainable and also got 3 1st Premiums from the BEF Evaluations.
How about Don Joshi - available at Hobgoblins (http://hobgoblins-stud.com/Don_Joshi.htm) Having seen him in person he is absolutely stunning and breath taking. He is actually gelded now as had to be competed by a junior in the UK and thus couldn't be entire but he is available by frozen semen.

Stallions can be (and are) competed in the UK (and on European teams) by pony riders (ie under 16s) - Manitu being a famous example; others listed above (Bernwode Brokat, Top Yellow) have been as well.
