Maybe a Dumb question if you buy a horse which has 62 BD points and worked up to elementary and you are a dressage muppet what can you do on the horse affiliated wise.
If it has 62 points then it can still be competed at Novice level as the upper limit is now set to 120 odd points.
If you are a group 8 rider (ie not gained a point at novice level) then you are eligible to downgrade the horse, however now that the limits have changed I'm not sure you'd be allocated any less points.
Best place to find out for definite is www.britishdressage.co.uk, under Competitions you will find Rules and there will be paragraphs on points!
You could compete at Prelim but would have to go HC, you'd be fine for novice tests as there is plenty of 'room' points wise before you need to move up.
