Dressage report + pics

well i went and did two unaffiliated tests today, its actually on the 3rd dressage tests i had done this year, as have only done 2 ODE's!

we did prelim 4 and 10, she was a complete pain in the b*m and it was really hard work to get her listening to me and keep her out to the edge of the arena. and she wasnt stretching down as much as i would have liked; but we ended up winning both of our tests.

In the first test we got 75% which i think was a little generous but was a good 6% above 2nd place, and we got 60% in prelim 10, which i think was marked rather harshly but in comparison we were 8% in front of 2nd place.

so a good day, unfortunatly only a couple of warm up photos as mum read my tests!

im not sure yet! i need to plan a BE to aim for, i just need to work out my sj control, as as soon as i gain it it will be fine!! she gets a bit cocky and thinks she knows best!! dont they all
but there is some unaff dressage weds evening so i may just go and do that

That's rather a good day then. Are you doing Novice next time?

We are going to Keysoe unaff on Tues and Bee's trainer has told her to have a go at the elem on the big horse!

thistle-well i think i probably will, i would have to practise in a longer arena tho :S which could be tricky as no one around here has one!
i now really need to find some more sj to go and do so i can try out some more bits!

You don't need a long arena, just mark something out on a flattish piece of land. There are plenty of short arena Novice tests.

Well done. Shes a really lovely looking horse. Dont worry about having a long arena, we dont have one either and although it does mean you cant ride the complete test you can still practice all the moves you need to. Sometimes its better not to ride the whole test then you dont get anticipation.

fiona- i know she dopes!! the only reason she has a drop is because apparently as she has had a tooth out it is pressing on the two either side of the gap and forcing them together. however i wasnt there when the dentist came out and i dont know whether because it is a mexican grackle it is atr all as it seems to completely avoid the area , so i really dont know!!
