My little baby horse had her third dressage competition at the weekend. I bred her myself out of my ish mare so after five years of waiting it was her second affiliated outing. Unfortunately I wasn't riding her as I am expecting. She appeared a bit intimidated in the warm up and nearly got mown down by a big horse but was perfectly behaved. She went into her first test and did a good solid test with a few baby mistakes in canter. My friend then did the second test with her which was better than the first. I think she preferred the bigger arena even though she is ickle.

We put her into the lorry and waited for the results. She got a high 60 score in the first and got 8's for her paces which I was chuffed about. My friend was chuffed with 8 for her riding :). She ended up being placed sitting below a couple of more established horses.

Even though the second test was a better test she got low 60s again in the top third but not placed.

So overall it was a great day and she got a couple of days off with a super chuffed mummy. Can't wait to get out on her this summer. :)

Must be so lovely to have a homebred come right through to ready for a competition. Well done on putting all the work in
