So took both of mine to the Riding Club dressage on sat, Mac the Grade A showjumper I am fittening (who hadnt been ridden for at least 2 yrs when I got him!) And my 4yr old Spider.

I have only had Mac for a couple of months so wasnt expecting much and being a SJer an all! He had never done a dressage test, but I put him in for the Novice 32 as he does go quite nicely. Spider was doing the Prelim 13 and although there is LOTS of potential on the flat for her she aches after about 2 mins staying round!! And we are struggling with one canter transition!

Never the less they were very good ponys! Mac did a nice test, not as nice as he could do, he didnt quite understand why he was trotting and cantering around and there was no jumps!! He got 63% and ended up 5th individually so was V pleased.

And Spiders test was great for her, she was a bit like a wiggly worm!! But struct off on the right leg in canter and was V well behaved, to my shock she had scored almost 66%! Bless her, I think and hope there are very good things to come of her! She is very grown up for her age. She ended up 6th individually and her team was 6th so a very good day I think, for two horses I didnt expect to go so well!!

Off to do some showing with her on Sunday locally, to get her out and show her another indoor arena!

Well done!

Where are you going on sunday?

Yes very good ponies!! No I wont be keeping Mac as he is going to be sold and im not to sure whether he would event or not, although had a cracking jump lesson on him last night and he jumps all the so called eventing fences!! Skinnies etc.

When he goes I will get another one though that I can event and then will sell on myself, want to get that now really to work on ready for March. Aiming for Poplar Park as my first event I think, counting down the days!!!!
