YAY!! had first dressage comp of the year yesterday. I know... the year!!!! Rather wet and slippy ground after night before downpour
but we went anyway.. all studded up. The arena was on a slope unfortunately that sloped down towards the judge.. Was thinking "how on earth am I supposed to do a successful halt!!?" Ulyssa was wired to the moon which didnt help either. Anyway we warmed up and went into the test a bit tense. Unbelieveably (sp?) I came out with a smile on my face after a goodish test. Friend went next and did a good test too
. When we got our results we realised we had got the same marks. Kind of scary and we both came second (im stilll a junior even though i ride a horse and my friend a senior) Was warming up for the second test (Prelim 14) and my silly mare slipped and then fell over herself and was clambering all over the place. Trotted her up and she was fine so still went on into the test. She was soo good
and her halt was brilliant (usually we end up going sideways) I was soo pleased. Friend went in and did really good too. Results came out and we were both first
scary again and we had very similar marks. I dont know who was more happy
