What really helped me to sit to my cobs bouncy boingy trot was simply to lean backwards!!
Start off with a neckstrap to balance and just tilt yourself back. You'll feel like you're leaning loads but in reality (if you get someone to video you) its hardly noticeable. That way your bum and hips are in the best position to 'go with' the trot. With a tiny bit of practice its easy to just tilt a little backwards without the neck strap
Just remember to tilt from the hips but keep your head straight, so your tummy muscles really have to work to hold you there
Hope this helps, it cracked it for me xx
