Hi!
I am looking into buying a new dressage saddle for my ID who is a wide fitting, low withered horse with a straight back.
I have an albion k2 jump saddle which suits him well so have been looking at albion dressage saddles but wondered if anyone has any other suggestions?
I currently use a very old adjustable GFS dressage which has worked well but has no rider support at all and I am craving some decent knee blocks!
Obviously would be professionally fitted I just don't have the budget for the brand new saddles my saddler sells ?

In Ireland there is a saddler called Berneys - their saddles and their trees seem to fit ID's and Irish natives very well are they are a traditional hunt saddler. I have one of their dressage saddles for my ID x Connie and it fits so well - you can get them 2nd hand quite reasonable on Facebook sites so might be worth a try!

Heather Moffett Vogue - I love mine, set back stirrup bars that allow excellent ear/hip/heel leg position, never have to worry about their muscles changing and it pinching or causing pain or atrophy etc. See if there is a fitter near you who can bring one out for a trial.

There's an Ideal Jessica that has done the rounds of several ID / ISH and Section Ds with very flat backs on our yard and it's fitted them all. As soon as one horse retires (or in my case the owner decides she can't get on with it as her bum's too big) the next person buys it! I think it's on its 5th owner now.
