As my showjumper can only do flatwork for 6 - 12 months i was thinking of buying a dressage saddle for her as all i have are jump saddles !!

Ive been looking at the Wintec Pro and the Thorowgood T4 dressage saddle

opinions on a post card please xx

depends what sort you want and how much you want to pay out!

Ive got an Albion SLK Ultima Narrow (just short of 2k!) and an Ideal Crown Dressage (just under 1k) - i prefer the Ideal actually, its much more comfortable than my Albion!!

I have the wintec pro I use it on everything from fat little ponies to my TB vetran and on Ryu before I got his WH saddle! I like it to ride on its quiet flat and the blocks aren't big and restricting, I've hacked and jumped on it aswell, they hold their value too, I'd like a brown one tho.

I ride in a Barnsby Davison and love it - I know he then endorse a Thorogood Dressage saddle and I rode in one of those years ago and liked it.

TBH if it was me I would but a good 2nd hand leather one as I find them more comfy

well other than my wow i have ridden in a wintec-hated it! also have ridden in an amerigo(loved it:p) a prestige also very comfy, and a KN also very comfy-none of these fitted mind you!!

hmmm wasnt thinking about spending anything near that amount for just 6 months !!!

I have 3 jumping saddles that each cost me between 1k and 2k xx

The wintec pro is quite a nice little saddle, not restrictive at all. Doesn't give you a huge amount of support, but it sounds as though it would be a temporary measure for you. Also they are adjustable.
Hold their value too! I had one collecting dust and sold it to my friend for £175, she had it for 2 years and has just sold it for £150!!

we have a wintec isabelle at the yard - as it fits my younster and the pro didnt - i dont like that neither does my friend she said the seat at the back is far to high !!

I might need something to hold me in - im going to be all over the place in a dressage saddle xx
