Need reccommendations on dressage saddles upto 1500.
now as hes a 4 yo pref maybe changeable gullet?
i kno the bates have changeable gullets but not sure what other 'better quality' saddles do?

get your horse fitted by a professional and then with this knowledge go on the bd website and lokking in the classifieds they have hundreds of top notch (2nd hand saddles) for a fraction of the price.
 
that really depends on the shape of your bum and your horses back. i love albions cos to me they are the most comfy saddles in the universe but my trainer gets on my horse and whinges immediately that the twist is too wide - she rides her horses in amerigos. (which i think are instruments of torture. so you need to try a few. the top sadfles have longer flaps and a choice of seat shape so only you can choose what is comfortable to you... as a general rule the skinnier you are the deeper seat you prefer but it doesnt hold for every one. amerigos and albions tend to have enough fittings to fit most horses but new they are v expensive but you can get an almost new one for less than a grand.
