I have trouble getting saddles to fit my horse as they tend to sit much too far forward. The saddle fitter suggested a Derby House samber or Farrington working hunter as the most likely to sit well, and this proved correct. However I'm still living in hope of finding a dressage saddle to fit. It's a bit of a long shot, but I wondered if there are any saddle experts out there who can suggest some possibilities? My budget is limited so I'm only looking at secondhand.

I had this problem with my last horse and we ended up with a Ryder vsd which was very straight cut. I did order a Ryder dressage saddle from Oakfield saddlery (couldnt find any suppliers locally but them) but dispite loads of mithering it never came and then sadly my horse had to be pts. We tried Albion, keiffer, Arabian saddle co (sat quite well) Isabel Werth etc etc and they all went forward onto her shoulder even with the girth straps modified.
The Ryder saddles were very nice and I got a really good price when I traded it in. They have a wooden tree too so not cheaply made.

if your feeling a little bit flush then farringtons will make a dressage saddle for you witht the same fit for the horse as thier working hunter saddle. always worth phoneing them as they do massive amounts of options, they made a saddle for a disabled friend of mine and it is totaly unique.

That's interesting although I suspect a new, made to order saddle will be out of my price range. I've found a phone number but don't think they have a website do they?
