Have been hacking out in dressage saddle and now like it and feel secure etc. Longer stirrups are getting easier.

But when I ride in the school I ride so much better in my jumping saddle. In the dressage one I struggle to get
him forward and we just end up all over the place.

I mainly hunt and hack with a bit of XC. Bought the dressage saddle as I'd love to event him.

Is it worth persevering even thou I always get off feeling as if I've had a bad ride or should I just stick to what I know and seems to work??

I would stick with what works best for you - even if you do event him you don't need a dressage saddle, I did my dressage phase (and in fact all three phases ;)) in an ordinary WH/VSD type saddle. If you're comfortable and your horse goes well in your other saddle then I wouldn't worry too much. Have fun!
