What would you do now? I spent a long time thinking about dressage saddles and finally decided on a demo of Voltaire saddles having sat on them at a show. All being well and the horses liking them I'd have ordered 2. Sadly she didn't turn up. Since then she hasn't even suggested re-arranging so I'm not chasing it as it has done nothing for my faith in them delivering with 2 new saddles. So I'm now unsure what to do, I'm a huge Childeric fan but their prices have gone up again and are eyewatering! This was a big factor in going Voltaire (which certainly can't be described as cheap!). So do I bite the bullet and go Childeric, justifying the paying the cost of a small car by the fact they should be for life and don't really depreciate... Or do I do something else? Another brand? If so what?

I would personally get out a saddler that retails a number of brands and go from there.

The equipe saddles are beautiful and very well designed. If I could pick I would probably start there. I like the French saddles but feel some are designed more for rider comfort and aesthetics than for perfect horse fit - but that might just be my experience :)

If you really like French saddles try Eric Mondange. They are a bit expensive but such a great quality and they really fit the saddle to you and your horse. I have a jumping one from them and will never go back to anything else
