Dressage scores - the higher the better?

Right I'm really starting to get into this dressage lark, and have my first comp tomorrow.
Its a trialblazers qualifier, and it says that 58% or more will get through to second rounds. I was just wondering, is it the higher the score the better?

yes higher the better with 50% being considered 'average'. but as said only need 58% to qualify

Yes, correct. The better the test, the higher the mark.

Unless of course you are an eventer when it is marked in penalties and the score given by taking the positive mark away from 100%.
