I have a dressage competition on tuesday.
i have decided (stupidly) to attempt the novice
-S) not realizing that i would have to do medium trot/walk/canter
I have since taught my horse in 30 minutes do do a reasonable medium walk and trot but i find i get the best results when i am doing sitting trot however i know i would forget to remain sitting after a canter to trot transition. so can i do my test in rising trot but do sitting trot for the medium trot phase?. This is an unaffiliated competition
Also (another bit of pointless info) I ride my horse in a market harborough for hacking out and i intend to hack there. Would i be allowed to warm up in it (we are warming up in an open field and my horse is quite highly strung) if i fully remove it for the test? i am reffering to british dressage rules here lol.
Thanks for reading!
