Hi, got my 1st walk & trot test tomorrow but am a little confused by the following; FA Transition to walk, 3 - 5 steps, proceed in working trot. Does this mean you Walk at F then at A trot or can you come back to walk between them?

What is confusing me is the 'steps'. I thought it meant between F & A come back to walk, do 3 -5 steps ie. Inside fore, outside fore, inside fore (3steps) then trot. But someone else said you have to walk at F then trot at A but my horse would of done about 8 steps by then!

Hope I've explained that well enough for people to know what i mean?

inbetween A & F you do a transition to walk, walk for 3-5 strides and then trot again. You dont do it from letter to letter, its 'inbetween' the letters

So i'm right about the 'steps' too? 3 steps would be inside fore, outside fore, inside fore??
