I have got my test papers for Prelim 13 &18, but I don't understand a few of the things on the obs.

drifting
hollow
against hand to canter
r/4 s slipping
motorbike (???)
a square with a X in it (not square i presume!) Then a triangle.

also, what is a good percentage? I got 55.8% on both.

Thank you

Drifting - moving to the left or right rather than a straight line
Hollow - Resisting the contact, head up and resisting through back
Against Hand to Canter - Resisting the contact during the transition
r/4 s slipping - Right Fore out of synch or possibley dropping
motorboke - leaning to the side round corner rather than being upright and bending correctly.

55.8 is not bad at all for your first tests, well done

Aim for consistent 60%'s ... good luck

What was the drifting in relation to movement?

Motorbiking would have been not bending round the corner.

Against hand and Hollow would be being tense and lifting the head in canter.

Its not a bad score % but lots to build on. What was written in the comments?

Drifting- was it on the centre line? Probably means you werent straight.
Hollow would be hollow through the back so perhaps the horse was coming a bit back at you. Not taking the contact properly.
Against hand to canter means he probably threw his head up in the transition (although this would be more likely to get hollow to canter) and took a hold or maybe took off a bit in the transition?
Motorbike? Was he tanking a bit round corners?Never seen that one.
Triangle? No idea sorry!

thank you all for the help!
prlim 18 comments: Not an easy horse! Needs to be much softer through neck and jaw. Well Done.

Prelim 13 comments: Nice horse, trust him a bit more. Ride your corners and smile!
