dressage test today :( horse strong and heavy

I did my prelim 7 today. We got 61% which i now for a newcomer to dressage is very good. However my horse was sooooo heavy and strong on the bit that i struggled to hold him together. He is ridden in a fulmer snaffle with a flash and up til now this has been ok for him. But it seems suddenly that he is now saying 'now look what i can do to evade you mum!!'

My dressage comments were ' A lovely active horse, but must now prevent the enthusiasum from becoming hurried which loses you so many marks'

How can i improve our is it just back to the schooling board big time???!!!
