I videod him working in the arena, walk, trot, canter, 20 m circles, and counted hind leg movement over 30 secs and 60 seconds. I can't remember what they were but i have got it written down. If I find it at work i'll come back and post it

Patrick's BPM are;
Walk 54, Trot 85-89, Canter 99-101
So yes they do vary a bit, he is a 14.2 Connie (as you know!) so I bet that doesn't help at all!

Working at Nov/Elem (well when he is back in work that is)

Well, I found it

It doesn't look right compared to the one above but

Trot came out at 80 bpm (I have 158-160 bpm written down but that must be the music that matches)
canter 108 bpm

and I have nothing written down for walk

They are similar to mine though! I had expert help (thanks Bananaman

Law, if you double 80 it comes out to 160bpm so that should be right for the music ....I think!!!!LOL!!! Sure someone may help us on this!!!!!!! Just looking at music that suits Misters Trot at moment and he is suiting music which is approx. 138-140bpm.......but I dont like the tunes at this speed!!! GRHH!!! I am working on canter and walk but it seems to change week by week!!! (balance issues I think!!)

All the stuff that suits Mr D's trot is either banging hard house or classic trance!

Somehow I don't think the judges would like our choices!

He is sound now so thats a start! Will have to stay on box rest until Christmas just to ensure everything in the foot has settled but hopefully I will be back on in the new year ready for the music regionals!

As to the breathing, well I guess I will have to tackle that once he is back in work again, it is certainly better as in he isn't heaving to breathe in the stable but what he will be like working I have no idea. Hopefully now all the pollen should have gone he will be better. Fingers crossed anyway.

Lol, he likes it! The timing works really well for him! I'll have to put a whole test together- I just school to it at the moment. Certainly makes it more interesting for us both!

Hi mine is walk 102 bpm trot 159 bpm canter 102 bpm I got so fed up and was spending far too much money buying cd's and tapes for music I ended up having mine proffessionally done. It's far cheaper and that's it now no more listening to music and then finding out it's not suitable
