First dressage competition of the year, took Snoopy to Radway to contest N28 and N30 FMC came as support and caller if I needed her
Arrived at the venue parking next to Mr Kaye who used to be in Eastenders and Green Green Grass, funny enough the company I work for look after their swimming pool.
Anyway, first up N28, he was quite lively in the warm up but soon settled and worked well showing some super medium trot and canter transitions.
Went in and worked well until the first canter right, for some reason I think i completely forgot how to ride that transition lol and so sort of got a medium/canter transition.
Anyway put that behind us but still a little peed off with my inability and sort of shrugged across the diagnal in the walk on the long rein.
Hey ho finished but wasnt that pleased.
Got 65% and was in the lead
and subsequently won the class
On to N30, got FMC to call this one as only had 10 minutes between tests and worried I might forget it.
All started really well and put in a stonking medium trot - scoring a 9!! but again the simple change to right was just crap
but we really went for it in our medium canters and scored 8's!!!!
Finished test and was pretty pleased with our attempt although there were some mistakes.
Get to the score board 74%!!! OMG and won the class the closest to us was 66%!
I was elated as this was a qualifier class for the summer regionals YIPEE!!!!
So a really really good day for both Snoop and I.
We're off to Addington next week for their winter championship qualifiers. But now on the look out for another qualifier for the Summers.
