Took the horses out in the rain this morning. It was my second time out on my new horse and the first time taking both horses together!

Warmed up for Prelim 7 really nicely, my dad was right after me and as soon as he came over to warm up my horse became incredably stupid. Started spooking at everything and then I fell off! I had never fallen off her and knew it had to happen some time. Got back on and had to go straight in and do my test. She settled a bit but was still spooking at everything. Was getting some nice bits and then she would see something and stop dead for a few seconds! So we got 50% came 3rd last but it was Ok.

Then had prelim 1 again she was warming up really nicely but was neighing constantly for my dad's horse. Much better test and got 57% and came 4th.

Dad came 4th in Prelim 7 and 5th in Novice 24 (out of 6! but it was his first Novice test) So a much better day for him. It was so cold and wet a lot of people didn't turn up.

So a mixed day. When she was good she was really good, but when she was bad I wanted to send her back!

Here are a few photos of us warming up

Shhh but you aren’t the only one who has fallen off at a dressage comp. Had to go into by test with wet sand all over my jacket and my hat, not a good day!

Well done for coming 4th in the second test. It certainly wasn’t the nicest day for it.
Lovely photos as well.

She was fine when she couldn't see him, apart from the neighing, but when she saw him she had a total strop if she wasn't allowed to stand next to him. The thing is at home they arn't really attached as they are in seperate fields!

3 months ago when I got her she couldn't canter, had no bend and didn't take a contact I am really pleased with the way she has come on. I just wish she wasn't such a mare
