Forgive me, non-horsey family and although my best friend may still be very pleased for me, she's not -that- horsey xD
Finally got to dressage again (missed last one as I was ill, and the one before was uhm, cr@p), nothing major as we don't compete too often, just prelim 13 and the shows are held at the yard which is convenient
First time warming up in the dark, and it was raining too. Luckily I did get on earlier even though it was FREEZING because they'd rearranged the order a few of us went in, so I was in earlier.
Danny was the best he'd ever been to warm up and felt really nice, only had one buck first time into canter, hehe.
Then went into the indoor to do our test, and he didn't look too much at the people (considering we had more of an audience than ever!) and I had a friend call for me so that he had something IN the arena to listen to, as he likes to stress about what he hears outside
He's a little silly.
He felt loads more relaxed than usual, and more responsive. Came above the bit a little, and we had a brief discussion about the fact that he wanted to go left when we were cantering right!
And we got a -little- bit of stretching in the free walk! (usually we get none at all!) and he went on the correct canter lead BOTH times!!
Veryveryvery pleased with the poneh
Got 67.5% and WE GOT AN 8!! Not that epic I know, but it's our first 8 xD
Worst mark was a 5 for the FWLR which is what we usually get - though we usually do it worse... oh well. No hope of placing as the junior riders round here are too bloody good!
So glad we started having lessons, only had 4 so far and the change is amazing
Apologies for my very long happy ... whatever that is xP Have some Quality Streets!
