Hi I am looking for a good dressage/flatwork trainer (for eventers) in the Berkshire area. Someone with own facilities for me to travel too pref. Any suggestions? I know word of mouth is always a good way to find someone decent :D Thanks!!

I believe Karen Crago ( wife of Paul ) is a dressage trainer in Berks. Could kill two birds with one stone as an eventer, Karen for flatwork, Paul for jumping. Don't know much about Karen but Paul has a very good reputation.

I was a guinea pig rider at a BSJA day Paul Crago was running and he gave me loads of advice was really good :)

Will be watching this with interest as I too am looking, although the ones suggested so far are a bit far out for me :)

Whereabouts are you?? Lucy Gavrilovic is a freelance instructor near Henley, she is VERY good, sympathetic with the horses but very effective! I think she has her BHS I

Good luck

Shame Karen & Paul Crago are too far for you, they're in Pangbourne. Another vote here for both of them, had a great lesson with Paul yesterday.

Paul crago great for SJ but didn't really think much of Karen. Fantastic rider but didn't get anything out of the lessons

Sacha Hamilton.

She will possibly travel to you.

Just read your post again - serves me right for playing with the lap top and watching TV!

Sacha does teach at her yard and has wonderful facilities.

She trains with Emile Faurie and is hoping to take her horse Active Dynamo (Dan) up to Grand Prix this year.

She also used to event.
