Any recommendations for a dressage trainer within ~30 miles of Manchester (broadly covering North of Cheshire or South of Lancashire) to help me with ex racehorse's dressage for eventing?
He's now established at BE Novice and looking to take part in some Intermediate Novices next year. He also BDs at Elementary and would maybe, hesitantly, want to try some lower level Medium tests for end of next year. This is now outside of my comfort zone - so we're blind leading the blind and probably need some extra input. I've not been in the area that long so not familiar with the local names!
Looking for someone who is;
- straight talking (but fair)
- has track record of training riders/horses for eventing (not just pure dressage)
- ideally has some flexibility to teach evenings or weekends
I've got local help with someone with a good eye, but now feels like the right time to get some additional input from someone with regular experience of training at ele/medium level - particularly for the conformationally challenged thoroughbred!
