Hi everyone,

So I don't currently own my horse but would love to further my dressage training. I am also training for my BHS Stage 3 at the moment. I have recently had some dressage training but would love to find somewhere to train specifically other than my local riding school?

Is there anywhere to train with more advanced horses and specific dressage trainers without having to own my own horse?

I'm in Manchester and happy to travel Lancashire/Cheshire/Yorkshire etc.

Thanks for any help!

I did my stage 4 at Snainton, near Scarborough, and learned changes, passage, and canter pirouettes on the same horses that they also used for everyday lessons. They were Charlotte's retired dressage horses I think and were brilliant with novices and experienced alike.

This was in 1995 though, so I don't know if the set up has changed.

Yorkshire Riding Centre (Markington just north of Harrogate). I am not sure if still doing it but Jane Bartle Wilson was giving lessons on her Grand Prix horse. they have other dressage school masters and I can't recommend Jane enough (she rocks my dressage world every time I have a lesson)

Thank you, I will look into that too. Last I heard they weren't a riding school anymore, but she might have the schoolmasters for dressage :).
Thanks!
