Just going to local Riding Club dressage on saturday however my neddie is growing out a hogged mane and has around 2-3 inches of mane I cannot do a lot with

So do I bother plaiting his tail when he has half a mohican or not bother and accept we are a slightly scruffy pair. Its only riding club after all?

(I don't do dressage - only SJ where I am generally the person being tutted at for wearing pink jods)

I wouldnt leave the tair if the mane isn't plaitable as well!

I'm sure you won't look scruffy! Hair gel can help to tame his mane a bit as well!

Good luck - remember, its the work you do, not how you look that counts!

Whaddaya mean 'only Riding Club'

Only kidding - go with your mohican but leave the pink jods at home.

Hey I'm a Riding Club committee member too (got sucked into building websites - shamless plug ERC )

However this is my first dressage competition as I have avoided them like the plague since pony club days.

Probably go really badly as my horse has a SJ canter (too bouncy) and likes to do multiple flying changes when I get stressed about going straight!!

Pink jods staying at home, but not plaiting tail or forelock (he didn't get fully hogged)

Very smart website - plug back at ya

..... but feature second from the right and my daughter models the clothing in the clothing bit.

Dont you dare knock yourself like that in my presence.

Your lovely bouncy SJ canter will probably look heaps smarter than a lot of tight necked flat dressage horses.

Go and have fun and then come back and tell us all about it.

Just go smart and unplaited I think. If horse is clean and tidy should be fine !
