Can you guys please tell me what the "easiest" test is please.I see you post things about prelim 7 and the such like but what is the first test!!.Sorry if this is a gormless question!!.

Easiest is the lowest number, so prelim 1. But that depends on your horse and you really as well, I prefer prelim 18 over some of the other prelims and that's the "hardest"!

Yes P18 is a lovely test, with 3 loop serpentines. P7 is perhaps the easiest as there is no 20m canter circles - you just canter around the arena !

So ... are you going to tell us when you plan to lose your virginity

Oh wont be a while yet!.Got lots of schooling/lessons to do first!.I did a sort of dressage clinic last week and the lady said my horse had good pressence, movement and style but we have LOTS of work to do first!.

Get a set of the tests and look at them all. The 'easiest' test might not actually be the 'best' test for you and your neddy. Do you have an instructor? Might be worth going through a couple of the tests with them and see which you prefer.

Good luck with it.

No there are no lateral movements. Prelim tests are pretty basic walk, trot and canter movements. Ideally you should have a nice long and low outline showing suppleness over the back and be moving freely forward.

HTH.

Just as a matter of interest, which forum member are you hoping to pin down?
