I've just bought some Bates dressage webbers and am unsure which way round they go: smooth side or holey side against the saddle and t-bar to the front or towards your boot when riding???
The pictures are really small and just when I think I've worked it out I look again and think I'm wrong - help!

Yes, you're right (except mine are fastened low down close to the iron so they don't!) - so if they were to to be like regular leathers that means that the holey side faces down on the flap when you attach them?

LOL I dont have the webbers but do have a similar type.

On mine I put them onto the bars so that the bottom end of the leather (the hole bit) is facing inwards towards from the horse. That means when I twist the leather to mount the horse, the buckle/T is pointing towards the horses ears and away from the front of my ankle when Im on.

Right - thanks, that makes sense!

A ha - I've worked out what's wrong with the pics on the packaging: they have the holes towards the horse on the attachment pic but then on the length pic they have the t-bar twisted to face the tail - like you would when mounting but not when riding - just to confuse the likes of me!

For us short arses that cannot get short enough webbers without swapping to the child range... the T bar is never by my ankle, so always against the saddle when jumping...
