Dilemma alert...

I do a fair bit of dressage writing for a local riding club (ECG) and they have their annual little ODE coming up- its only tiddly and really cute- lots of sweet little ponies tanking their jockeys all over the place. However, I have the choice- do I write for the walk/trot test class which is easy (though cute with the ponies) or the big'un where they do a harder test which will be interesting but a far longer day. Also, my sister is doing the big'un on her little ginger pone (his second ODE- how cute!) and I don't think I could cope with watching- his dressage makes me laugh so much!

So, big or baby class? Agh! Choices, lol!

I'd do the baby class just because they'll all be so adorable

I know! Last year I did the whole season writing for this class, and everytime this little fat 12hh fluffy greay with tiny jockey looking immaculate did the test. Every time they trotted across the diagona before going don the centre line this pony would just continue at a stonking trot out the srena, through the gap in the ence t its trailer. Jockey would leap off, drag pony back, get back on and continue! We never penalised because she was so determined- as was the pony!

Oh definately the bigger class, cos at least then you will learn something from it

ets: anyhoos, you shouldnt have time to watch the tests properly, you will be writing that much!

bigun, I get bored writing for walk trot and prelim tests and find I learn much more for writing for more complicated ones even though it is harder work

PMSL - although really I shouldn't laugh as this could be me this Sunday when I take my big grey pony to a little show to do a Prelim test!

Thing is, the big un is only 2'6 with a piss easy test, and through the winter I'll be scribing for our RC up to elementary! Hmmm, may do big un because it's more interesting to see the progression from WT tests...
